B9.0 followed by C6.3 ~17hrs later from AR0933 nearing East Limb at 24/1345Z and 25/0633Z respectively. No metric Type II sweeps reported by the RSTN network. Using local plane of sky measurements for event #667 and Guillermo Stenborg's report of 1500 km/s for #668 (closest measurement to the sun, thanks Murray!), the HAF model indicated a shock arrival at approximately 28/0000Z. The second shock overtakes the initial shock at approximately 26/1200Z. The shock arrival is expected to coincide with a solar sector boundary crossing (just ahead of a recurrent coronal hole). Additionally, a CORONALERT was issued this afternoon from Sac Peak (max intensity 1.2), very similar to the Dec 5 CORONALERT (AR0930). We can only hope for similar activity!
