Hybrid solar wind model:
The Hakamada-Akasofu-Fry solar wind model predicts solar wind conditions based upon solar observations.  The HAF model can be used to drive downstream solar wind models in a hybrid approach (for example, the HAF kinematic model drives an MHD model). Specifically, the HAF model predicts solar wind speed, density and interplanetary magnetic field at a fixed radial distance from the Sun over the latitude and longitude range of the boundary condition grid of the downstream model.  The prediction uses the most recent source surface maps and solar event data.
