Geoeffectiveness of Solar Events
Multi-day forecasts of solar wind conditions at L1

Project overview | Space Weather Forecasts | Archives

Real-time Fearless Forecasts:

Jointly with NOAA/SEC researchers, we issue Space Weather Forecasts (description) of the arrival of interplanetary shocks, based upon event reports from solar observatories and space weather forecast centers.  Please note: this is NOT an official SEC product.

We used the Hakamada-Akasofu-Fry (HAF) solar wind model to simulate the ecliptic-plane interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) and dynamic pressure during the period July 10-18, 2000. Check out our archives of model runs.

For more information, contact the UPOS/GSE project leader, Prof. Charles Deehr, UAF/GI.
